Recommended by our hotel and also good online reviews. We rocked up mid week and managed to get one of the last tables, so I would recommend making a booking at weekends. Staff were friendly and helpful and did have a English menu should you want one. They have two menus for dinner plus al la carte. We opted for the first set menu at €26 plus some supplements and this was shared set of plates between us and then we had to choose our main. The starters were lovely and full of flavour and very local Spanish dishes including the best Migas I have ever eaten in Spain. We both loved our main course which I had the speciality of the house, the Xarmeintos, which was succulent and tasty and one I would have again and highly recommend. My wife had the milk chops and they also were delicious. Other options are available on menu which is seasonal so see web site. Desert was a local pastry with ice cream and nice. Local wine included in the menu and went well with restaurant is on our list of favourites when we next pass...
Read moreYou can order a la carte but we had the 3 course 26,5 euro menu. This menu includes also a bottle of wine (served in a cooling bucket) and a bottle of (tap) water. Bread is also included but was quite dry, that could have been better. First you get 3 tapas plates to share. As main course you can have baby Lamb. (which didn't have much meat) or you can pay 5 euro extra for Iberian Pork (which is better). Desert was quite good. Staff is friendly, they speak English and service is quick. A bit too quick maybe coz the moment you finish one course they take away your plate and bring the next course. We had eaten the complete meal in a little over an hour. This seems to be a problem and habbit in most Spanish restaurants coz in Belgium going out for dinner is an activity for the whole evening so you can eat and talk at a relaxed pace. Not in Spain apparently... You can pay by credit card. I would recommend this place coz it is good food and good...
Read moreMy goodness, what a glorious meal. I can ONLY criticise the smell of the toilets that pervaded the lower half of the restaurant. (My feeling is that they have no control over this, that the problem stems from the neighborhood sewage system, however, some incense or an electronic perfume diffuser would probably solve the problem). The food, the service, and the wine were perfect. Really! So much so that the smell didn't diminish that incredible evening in the slightest. The 35 euro menu was a culinary voyage of excellence from the starters through to the dessert lubricated by two of the finest red wines I have ever tasted...I wish I had noted the names. The whole animated by a wonderful, fun, and engaging waiter. My only regret was that I was a little tipsy when paying the bill, so I didn't have the presence of mind to add a generous tip to the credit...
