Holy dumpling is located in a corner of Torrington avenue. The place has a cool home vibe since its established in a house, maybe the owners which have both indoor and outdoor seating. If it's not raining outdoor seating is the choice without a doubt.
Upon visiting the staff greeted us and provided a menu which was simple and nice. They have dumplings with fillings of Vegi (tofu), Chicken, beef, prawn and eggs. Dumpling potion has 10pcs. We asked whether we can mix the fillings in if we ordered one portion. The staff happily agreed and we got a potion with beef, chicken, prawn and egg dumplings. All were super tasty and the wrapper dough was exceptional. For the dips you can order Soy & sesame sauce or chilly soy sauce.
Then we ordered a Boa Bun. For this we chose beef and we were given the option to choose the sauce from : Soy & oyster sauce, Home made peanut butter sauce, Sweet chil sauce. They recommend sweet chilli sauce for the beef option and it was the correct choice. They present the Bao bun like a flat bread and put the beef above it. Additionally a fried sweet potato portion is included in this. It was tasty and the portion size was enough for two people.
They have a drink called rosmery induced strawberry lemonade and its a must try item here. And we ordered ginger kombucha, it was very different taste which had similar taste like රා😅.
Overall this place was awesome and a must go place if you are hungry for dumplings.

Read moreHoly Dumpling is hands down one of the most peaceful and cozy restaurants I’ve been to in a while. The moment you step in, the atmosphere feels so calm and welcoming—it’s the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy your food without any rush or noise.
The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered Chicken Wontons, Prawn Noodles, and Sweet Potato Chips, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The wontons were flavorful and light, the prawn noodles had the perfect balance of spice and taste, and the sweet potato chips were crispy and addictive. The dipping sauces that came with the food were delicious as well, adding that extra burst of flavor.
On top of the great food, the staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. They made us feel comfortable throughout the whole experience, which honestly makes such a big difference when dining out.
Overall, Holy Dumpling really impressed me—it’s one of those places that will live rent free in my head. If you’re looking for amazing food, a calm atmosphere, and genuinely nice service, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreEdit - 7/9/2025 - Revisited to have the chicken dumplings on a weekend lunch. The place gets pretty crowded on weekends and the service is a bit slow too. It took close 30 mins to serve. I felt like walking out but the staff stepped in and apologized for the delay. The dumplings were delicious and quite filling too. Gazed around and found a lot of kids chow down the dumplings away.
Loved the prawn noodles with peanut sauce. Portions are generous with plenty of tiny bite sized prawns. The peanut sauce really did the trick to make the dish flavorful. Drink was served in 5 min and the food was served in 7 mins, pretty fast service. The staffs could be a bit more welcoming.
The atmosphere could be improved, decor is mostly recycled with old glass bottles. AC doesn’t function properly. The outdoor dinning is a brilliant spot, dinning under shady trees but definitely needs to be made more lively. Stand fans are mandatory given the Colombo heat, plus better lighting to bring more life to the outdoor...
