I had the most delightful dining experience at this restaurant! The food they serve is not only very tasty but also presented with such pleasing aesthetics that it truly elevates the entire dining experience.
First and foremost, the flavors in their dishes are absolutely phenomenal. From the moment I took my first bite, I was transported to a world of delectable tastes and mouthwatering aromas. Each dish is crafted with care and precision, ensuring that every ingredient complements the others perfectly. Whether you're a fan of spicy, savory, or sweet, their diverse menu caters to all taste preferences.
Even when I ordered food for delivery, I was impressed by how well-packed and fresh everything was upon arrival. The restaurant takes great care to ensure that their online deliveries maintain the same high quality as their in-house dining. The packaging was secure, and the food still retained its flavors and textures as if it were just prepared moments ago.
Speaking of presentation, the restaurant truly knows how to make their dishes visually appealing. Each plate is like a work of art, meticulously arranged to showcase the vibrant colors and textures of the various ingredients. It's almost too beautiful to eat, but once you take that first bite, you'll be hooked!
Now, as for the mention of needing a cheese kottu with chicken, I couldn't agree more. While their egg cheese kottu is undoubtedly delicious, adding chicken to the mix would create an even more satisfying and complete dish. The restaurant's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction makes me hopeful that they'll consider introducing this option in the future. I can only imagine how incredibly tasty it would be to enjoy the rich flavors of cheese kottu combined with succulent chicken pieces.
In conclusion, this restaurant is a culinary gem that consistently delivers in terms of taste, presentation, and customer service. Whether you dine in or order online, you're in for an extraordinary gastronomic adventure. I highly recommend trying their various dishes, and I hope to see a chicken cheese kottu on their menu soon. If you're a food enthusiast looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the...

We placed an order from Kottu Canteen yesterday for dinner 3 kottus ( 01 devil chicken and 02 Birds- chicken kottu), . The entire experience was a complete letdown.
We ordered at 5.30 PM and only received the food after 7.30 PM over 2 hours later, with no updates or apologies. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, soggy, and completely lacking in flavor. We specifically requested spicy, but the food was bland and under-seasoned.
As for the “devil chicken” it was a confused, tasteless mess. Instead of a proper spicy Sri Lankan devil dish, it felt like some random fusion attempt gone wrong. This isn’t the kottu we expect or love. I’ve tried kottu from 5-star restaurants to roadside joints across the country, and this ranks as one of the worst I’ve ever had.
It’s clear they need to learn their food first, then fix their timing. A delay like this for kottu is unacceptable, especially when there’s no accountability or communication.
Also, beware of the 4.5 rating on Uber Eats it’s misleading. The real standard is closer to their Google rating of 3.9, and even that feels generous based on our experience.
I won’t be recommending this place to anyone unless they seriously fix their quality...
Read moreI recently ordered a dish called "The Maharaj" from Kottu Canteen via Uber Eats.
The taste of the kottu was really good, above average in fact, and I would give it a 5-star rating for that aspect.
However, I was extremely disappointed with the portion size of the food. It was unacceptably small. In the photo I took, you can see that the cardboard box was not even half full, and it was only 1.5 inches tall.
It felt like they just put some kottu in the box and shook it to evenly spread the ingredients around.
Due to this, I have to deduct 3 stars from my overall rating.
In terms of value for money, it was definitely not worth it. Considering the high cost of around 1400 LKR, the small portion size...
