Chocoholics - Havelock Road — Restaurant in Colombo

We went for the waffles. Ordered a Nuttella waffle its good, they have put enough chocolate and Nuttella on it. Its fresh and tasty. Then we ordered a crispy option which turned out to be rotty and not waffle. But its well stuffed with Strawberries and crispy rice. Still I would have preferred the combination with the waffle rather. Also they did not have many options in the menu by the time we went in a Sunday evening. Price is high,cant complain with the inflation we have these days here in Sri Lanka. Also I am shocked to know that they charge extra if we are dining in and its not a takeaway. I would recommend check on other places if you are worried about the prices. The place looked nice and ambient but they had a cleaning in process board to block us from going to the upper floor which they took away only when more people came in. It may be because if the power cuts and deisel issues we have, they may be preserving the power. Anyway giving 5 just alone for the waffle. Portion size have become smaller. Items costs from Rs 600 to Rs 1700 but all the items have become smaller. More sugary taste is added rather than chocolate. Also more caramel taste is there now, maybe to cut cost and gain more profit. It is very certain because about 50 days ago I was here and portion sizes were bigger on the exact item. No parking at all for a car. Not even in the street because everyone else have taken the remaining parking spot, area is very crowded so park at your own risk, or walk here or take a taxi. Employees seem to be stressed. Weekends are very crowded in this small place with lovers so not so good if you bring your kids . 10% service charge is added for dine in but No Air conditioning, unfortunately Sri Lankan electricity employees were on a strike so no Air conditioning and ice cream melted quickly. They can improve but with the current dead Sri Lankan economy in December 2021 I think this business will cut costs on chocolate and add more caramel and...

A nice and comfy place with a pleasing ambiance, decorated with eye-catching art and paintings that give off chocolate vibes. You can choose to dine either upstairs or downstairs, as there are ample seating options available.

The food was truly mouthwatering, with a generous amount of chocolate in every bite. The meals were delicious and well presented, although the prices were on the expensive side (including a 10% service charge). The menu offers a good variety, including crepes, waffles, pancakes, and beverages. We ordered the Chocoholics Dream Waffle, Strawberry & Cream Cheese Milkshake, and Dark Chocolate Mocha. The portion sizes were great and Sufficient for two.
