Fat Burner Live Kitchen — Restaurant in Weligama

Food: We had an incredible falafel burger, the best we've had in Sri Lanka so far. ~4,30€ / 1500 rupees is an amazing price for what you get. It comes with their very own version of sweet potato fries, which have a unique seasoning. Note for vegans: The burger comes with a sunny side up egg, so maybe tell them that you're vegan.

Service: The place is very small, which is not a problem, but I think the staff, who's very friendly, could be slightly more attentive. We were the only 2 people there and ordered 2 drinks and 2 burgers but only got 1 drink and 1 burger. They had forgotten the other 2 items, so we couldn't eat at the same time. Not a problem for us, but it still shouldn't happen. Also we didn't get napkins and cutlery, which would've been useful as the falafel breaks easily and the egg yolk is runny (which is delicious, but it makes a napkin a necessity).

A lot went wrong here, maybe it was a bad day. Cappuccinos were watery, not what we expected given previous reviews. The two of us ordered prawn burger and tuna steak. The burger was served nearly cold and 10 minutes before the tuna, which meant it was finished by that time. Flavours of the burger were good. The tuna steak was ordered to be medium rare, what we got was less than rare and the majority of the meat was still 'fridge' cold. This place was great. We WhatsApp’d the owner and he sent over menu pics and just told us to give a date and time with what we wanted. (This was during lockdown times) We were a group of four and everything was delicious. I got whatever fish he recommended that wasn’t tuna and the dish was soooo goood. The purée and veg was magnificent. My partner got the shrimp and avocado salad which was huge! And my friends ordered the chicken burger and pasta. All were great.
