Thank you for your response to my wife's review down below. I appreciate that you are taking our feedback seriously. However, I must say that our review was based on our genuine experience at your restaurant. At least take some time to understand and reply to your guests reviews rather than bluntly expressing your rage on negative reviews. While we have pointed discrepancy in the taste, you are asking to share pictures of the food. Is it even relevant asking. Hope you understand my point. I want to emphasize that our comments were about both the food and the service. It’s not just our opinion; other travelers have shared similar views regarding the quality of service and the overall welcome received at your place. Hoppers and curry-rice dishes were incredible and vegan friendly. I was suspicious reading “best hoppers in weligama” but I have to say I completely agree! The rice curry meal can easily be shared between two people (same with the hoppers if you get more hoppers and juice). It’s also an incredibly balanced feed - popping the curries into Cronometer or a nutrition tracking app is very satisfying.
I also did the cooking class which was fantastic! It was 5000 rupees at the time and I would highly recommend it. You will make the rice curry dish with its 4-5 side curries. And it’s wonderful to see how clean the food is, it’s all home cooked and uses very little oil (except for one dish).
The vegetable noodles (suggested by staff) were disappointing and not really filling especially considering they were 1200 (same price as the curry rice). They need more vegetables or some protein to be that price in my opinion! However, given the amazing quality of the main dishes, I don’t think one sad dish should cost this review a star.
I would stick with the hoppers and curry, but I’ll...
