The Natural Earth — Restaurant in Weligama

Wonderful! We stumbled on this place by pure chance ( but the old Persian name for Sri Lanka is Serendip). From the very first time, we fell in love deeply and returned every single day even a few times in a day. Jess, the owner, is a great host and chef who cooks amazing food, with a lot of passion and dedication to detail. I truly recommend trying out all the menu and the cocktails ( we tried, and it was a very good choice every time. The quality of the ingredients and the freshness is the impeccable ). The staff takes good care of the guests in a true Sri Lankan style, always with a big smile and kindness. They all made our stay in Weligama so much more memorable, and I hope to return many, many times! ( Some pictures are taken from the official website, but they reflect truthfully what you get)

(There are 3 fans on the second floor. They will move them right next to you by default, or you can kindly ask them to and they'll be more than happy to do it for you. If you ask them to chill your beer in the freezer, they will accommodate you immediately, the coffees are fantastic as are the cocktails, the music is very tasteful, prices are very reasonable, the ocean view is right across the road, the establishment is clean...

We visited here today for lunch as one of the guys from the surf school recommended we eat here. I am quite fussy with food so i was apprehensive to try somewhere without consulting any online reviews but we went for it anyway. I ordered a king coconut which came quickly and was chilled. To eat, i ordered the chilly eggs and croquettes as i was feeling pretty hungry. My partner had the mushroom tacos. We absolutely loved our food, it was delicious, filling and well presented. The croquettes in particular were superb (they came with a tasty tomato based dipping sauce) I also ordered the pancakes for us to share afterwards….one word…incredible! Homemade, with lots of delicious fruits on the side. I would recommend you to visit this cute place as the food is lovely and the staff are attentive and friendly. They also have a nice chill area with cushions on the floor, we sat afterwards with a chai tea & waited for the rain to stop. It was perfect!...
