It can get confusing to find this restaurant but once you do, you realize that its one of the best places in Ooty with complete parking and freedom even during the holiday rush. I've been a regular at this restaurant for two years, mainly baked items which seemed to be their speciality. This year, I booked the Christmas lunch for my family and friends and what a surprise we got. Last year, my family wasn't here and just me and my wife had gone to Earl's Secret. Compared to The Turkey Lunch at Sugar Dribble, the Christmas lunch at Earl's Secret looked like a cancelled stamp. The presentation was sad, portion was even more sad and the entire experience with the service was very regretful. However, the effort taken by Sugar Dribble for their patrons is really solid. It's a local business that has managed to keep it's standards as well it's head high throughout covid and also with being surrounded by much older mammoths of restaurants. The Christmas lunch was very well prepared and the portion was also very respectful. The staff working there were very hospitable and made sure that each patron was properly taken care of. The restaurant isn't a very big one but nobody made any excuse. At the end of the meal, I paid the bill not just with a full stomach but also a very satisfied heart. The taste of the food and the freshness of the ingredients used, made me understand how seriously Sugar Dribble took it's patrons. How many places do we come across these days that reek of such charm that remind us of a bygone era when customer was king? I could have typed a simple two liner review but all these words typed here are coming from my heart, FIVE days after I had my Christmas Lunch at this restaurant. If you haven't been to this restaurant, please go and have something. My family and I, truly had a very memorable moment there.

Sugar Dribble! Firstly, great name. It conjures up all sorts of delicious cravings. I found this quaint cafe when I arrived in Ooty last year, but the prices made me wait until I felt I could splurge. Telltale signs of a true foodie; saving up to eat somewhere. Sadly, after I got there for lunch today, I found that the prices had increased. This made me compromise on what I really wanted to try, which was the beefsteak. Instead, I went for a beef burger so I could have dessert as well. I think Ooty has metropolitan prices because of all the tourists that visit. Anyway, I like the open seating area that the cafe offers. There are about five tables, and there were just two other customers when I got there. A family came by later. The menu is actually quite good. From burgers and sandwiches to pasta and steaks. Definitely leaning more toward continental cuisine. The cafe has a nice selection of pastries and I decided to try their blueberry cheesecake, though I prefer the New York cheesecake. The beefsteak seemed too expensive, so I ordered a Hot Beef Burger. They did not take very long to prepare it. It's been a while since I've had a good beef burger, so my expectations were high. It came with a side of normal potato chips. I use "normal" because they looked like store-bought chips. They were crunchy and tasty, but I would have preferred something freshly made. The burger on the other hand was excellent. Tasty, juicy, and a surprisingly crunchy beef patty that complimented the sauces and cheese. I would definitely go back for that. The blueberry cheesecake was a bit disappointing. It was pretty heavy and quite sweet. I guess my hunt for good cheesecake will continue. The bill came to Rs. 578, including GST.

My family and I were on a mini vacation and we drove down from Kotagiri to Sugar Dribble for lunch (based on google reviews). And we were super impressed. The place though small, is very well done - it’s super pretty. The location is as mentioned on Google Maps, you will need to drive through a small entrance of Sanjay Hotel, which is very easy to miss. So once you get near to that place, drive slow. There is ample parking inside. We ordered Beef steak with mushroom sauce, beef burger, grilled chicken with creole sauce, peri peri chicken, Kadak chai, filter coffee and a chocolate tart. We also packed a vanilla caramel eclair to go. We were super impressed with the food- everything tasted super good. The mushroom sauce on the steak was the show stealer. Their variety and range of sweet bites had me drooling. For a cafe of their size, their menu is so varied. And everything comes from a tiny kitchen. How impressive is that!! Service was great too. Didn’t have to wait for long for our food to be served. Meat was cooked to perfection (I am very particular about how my beef has to be cooked). Don’t forget to try their eclairs, it just melts in the mouth. I am definitely recommending this place to all my friends and visiting again whenever I am around Ooty.

Even though Sugar Dribble was undergoing renovations during our visit, their hospitality left a lasting impression. Despite not being fully operational, they went out of their way to serve us. They set up a makeshift seating area near their hotel for us to dine comfortably. The staff was incredibly polite, and the owner herself added a special touch to our experience. She graciously offered her car as a cozy spot where we could enjoy our meal with our baby. This thoughtful gesture made our visit feel truly special. As for the food, their Chickpea Burger is a must-try—flavorful and delicious. The fries were equally satisfying, and their hot chocolate was a warm, indulgent treat, perfect for the weather. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and taste make it worthwhile. It was delightful to watch the live renovations and see them setting up Christmas decorations, adding a festive charm to the atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Sugar Dribble to anyone looking for a unique, heartwarming dining experience with great food.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Queen of hills Nestled in a quiet corner of the bustling city center, Sugar Dribble is a true hidden gem for those who want to try out something different. Not much of a spacious Cafe but believe me their dishes tastes absolutely delicious and yummy that you want to visit again. Their decor is simple but elegant and beautiful in its own way. The menu here is a delightful mix of classic favorites and innovative creations. Their pastries are yummmyyyy to the core and which are freshly baked in-house daily. What truly sets Cafe apart, however, is the exceptional service & warmth smile your invited with. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience for each and every guest. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're sure to feel welcomed and well taken care of here. Dishes we had and are must try 1 peri peri fries 2. Pimento pasta with red sauce 3. Pan seared beef steak with BBQ sauce 4. Chocolate framboise Happy visiting!

Cafe | Ooty | Limited Seating Honest review time: Had high hopes for the ‘cafe’ which is a cute sit-out with colorful walls and decor. They’re highly sought after given the range of dishes on their menu. We tried their peri peri fries which were a solid 4/5, Chicken wings - 4.5/5 Roaster Bell Pepper Pasta - 4/5 - it could’ve been more al dente but was too saucy with very less pasta in it. Their truffle mushroom sub/sandwich we ordered was quite subpar in terms of the bread, quality and portion. Now coming to the service - their staff were lovely to customers - except - the lady who was managing was openly rude and yelling at the serving staff in front of customers which was very uncomfortable. It’s not enough to smile and be nice to customers, we felt weird with smiling at us while openly yelling at them, when they were clearly operating short-staffed. Would appreciate if the management/owner could be more nicer to their staff too since it feels weird for customers.
