If u r a authentic Tamilnadu fare freak....than u must head here....Quite crowded yet u can snuggle, ur way thru..I plumped for the Pongal, it swept me of my feet, the right consistency, lots of( pepper which especially is a good bet to have) in this weather to keep u in good shape , given the climate the chill and cold, so make sure u don't discard the whole pepper chew it alongside the rice, cashews and jeera added overall , it did not disappoint me. It was served with beautiful piping hot sambar with yellow pumpkin, drumsticks, onions in plenty a beautiful aroma wafting alongside two chutneys, white coconut chutney and 🍅 and onion chutney, the Pongal was quite a fill.....The coffee was the filter coffee refreshing.... U ve plenty to pick from like khichdi it's the rawa khichdi a must try, idli, vada sambar, poori and more....Pls visit this place ur tastebuds wl be...

We visited Durga Pure Veg Restaurant twice during our stay in Ooty, having breakfast, dinner, and even a takeaway meal. Located in the prime center of Ooty, the restaurant is quite busy, but its convenient parking facility just outside makes it a preferred choice.

For breakfast, we enjoyed crispy and decent tasty dosas. The service was fast, and the takeaway pongal was also satisfying. While the prices are slightly higher, they are justifiable given the prime location.

However, our dinner experience was disappointing due to stale food, which was unfortunate. Although it was quite late, almost closing time, credible restaurants should maintain food quality at all times.

Overall, we had mixed experiences at Durga Restaurant. I would recommend it for breakfast and lunch, but perhaps not for...

We had a breakfast here and it is the worst hotel/restaurant dine in experience. Waiter behaved very rudely as if he is giving food for free. He didn't even turn up to take order for more than 15mins. When we asked to take the order, that waiter rudely responded either to keep quiet or get out of the hotel. The management too has no control over that waiter. He showed anger thru out till the end while serving. Also, in the bill he added amount for extra pongal which we didn't order and claimed that our driver has taken it which is completely false. We had to argue for each and everything here right from the order, service and billing. A big thumb down to this durga restaurant and I never suggest this to anyone. Zero rating...
