Bombay Bistro — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I went to this restaurant two years ago on new years eve and the food was fantastic.

So I decided to come again when I was visiting Göteborg now. This time I ate on the lunch time. And it was the biggest disappoinment ever. I can't put it in words. I dont know the reason, if the cooks changed or they changed ingredients or if it is because of the lunch prices which are cheaper. But the food tasted nothing like Indian food. It was probably the worst Indian food I ever received.

The sauce was red instead of being orange due to spices and cashewnuts which are on the list of ingredients but I bet there was not a single cashewnut inside and no spices either. The only thing you could feel is tomato sauce, chili powder and onion. Thats it. No garamasala, no gurkmeja, no koriander no nothing. Chicken was dry and not marinated. Naan bread looked like it was reheated 20 times. It wasn't edible. It was hard like a stone and cold when they brought it.

Maybe they are saving ingredients on the lunch prices but this was just terrible. It is better to have proper pricing and deliver good food than to have cheap...

One of the best restaurant in Gothenburg that we visit very often! I have been here with both family and friends but have never been disappointed with their food, service and atmosphere.

The naan, they serve here is always the favorite for us. The Chicken Vindaloo, butter chicken and panneer butter masala is a must try here. We like to eat a bit spicy and they make the dishes according to our request. But, be sure to mention your spice level before making the order.

The restaurant is located right next to the bus stop and also few parking spots, are available near the restaurant. Even though, it's bit busy place during lunch hour, the staffs make sure you get a spot as soon possible. Staffs are friendly and quick in service. A must try restaurant,...

My husband and I were looking forward to eating here for a while now but disappointed after and wont be returning. The location and setting is nice stars for that. We asked for recommendations and were recommended 2 different dishes that i kid you not were exactly the same sauce just different meat. It was a face palm moment because i trusted the waiter blindly. When i asked him later why the sauce is the same he said “i didnt know you two were sharing” does that really matter though?
