Amore Fantasia — Restaurant in Helsingborgs kommun

I had made a dinner reservation for 5pm 2 people (hubby and I) to celebrate our 9yrs as a couple. This was specifically added to the reservation saying Anniversary- 9yrs as a couple cozy seating or something like that. I walked in 3min past set time due the terrible weather and was a shown a table next to the window with a group of 4 and another group of 5 that would be arriving. Asked for a different table since there were other table with much more cozy atmosphere and feeling just as requested. I was then shown another table which was right next to the bar and I said ”this will have a lot of foot traffic right ?” Yes, the waitress said so I wandered back to the first table. My husband walks in and I tell him what has transpired. I did walk back up to the male and female workers and they said that if we were to move tables to the cozier ones it would throw off their seating arrangements. Question is ”Did all those other table have specific requirements of seating or were they just not in the mood to be accommodating?” Having owned and worked in the industry for so many years let me tell you that a small request of a cozy table would have taken priority and we would have worked around it. Anything for the customer! We chose to leave and go somewhere else to eat and while seated at another place we stroke up a conversation with the couple next to us and they said they would never go back there either due to the service and mediocre food, which we never got to taste...

Most of the staff are really pleasant, but the man that served us seemed very disinterested and never smiled. He seemed like he didn't want to be here the entire time.

I ordered the ravioli in tomato sauce (don't remember the name) and, in my opinion, it tasted too much tomato and cheese. The cheesecake I ordered (in the photo) was very aesthetically pleasing and I thought the lemon shape was both fun and creative. Igår vid 19:30 gick jag spontant in med pappa och syster för att höra om det fanns lediga bord. Väl inne fick vi beskedet att det var fullbokat. Vi gick ut, och av nyfikenhet kollade jag om det gick att boka bord via deras hemsida. Det gick och det fanns till och med lediga tider en kvart senare, samt fler tillgängliga tider med 15 minuters mellanrum. Alltså inte alls fullbokat. Märkligt och lite oseriöst att inte berätta det.

När vi väl kom in beställde vi varsin fördrink och förrätt, samt dryck och huvudrätt. Under tiden vi åt förrätten såg vi ett större sällskap (8+ personer) komma in och sätta sig. När vi sedan satt och väntade på vår huvudrätt såg vi att hela det stora sällskapet hann få in sin mat före oss. Det hade då gått en timme sedan vår förrätt, och vi började undra vad som hänt. Till slut frågade vi var maten var, några minuter senare kom den in.

Vi hade beställt pasta, så det kändes orimligt att det skulle ta över en timme. Känslan var att de helt enkelt hade glömt oss. Samtidigt hade vi beställt vatten redan en timme tidigare, men det kom inte förrän vi påminde, efter att först ha försökt få kontakt flera gånger utan resultat. Det var först när jag halvt ställde mig upp som de uppmärksammade oss.

Som plåster på såret får vi in tre shotglas med limoncello… tveksamt.

Att betala notan var också en konst i sig, tydligen. Det var svårt att få deras uppmärksamhet. Och det kändes fel och fult att man viftade lite på armen, men det var det vi fick göra. Man kom inte långt med ögonkontakt, tyvärr.

Maten var i sig inget att klaga på, allt smakade väldigt gott. Men upplevelsen drogs kraftigt ned av den dåliga servicen, den långa väntetiden och det märkliga bemötandet i början.

Synd, för maten höll som sagt hög nivå. Men vi lär tyvärr inte...
