McCool's Bar — Restaurant in Kalmar kommun

Searching restaurant for dinner and lunch, passed this bar twice and were almost empty both times so we didn't bother going in. But finally decided to take the lunch deal because we had a hungry child so non-busy restaurant fit us. Ordered pasta for kid and two portions panerad rödspätta for me and my husband. Pasta was okay but we were so pissed about the fish and potatoes in our dishes. Fish was overly deep-fried and obviously store-bought frozen products. That could be fine but the quality was obviously very low. The potatoes are the same, tasteless and with weird texture that just says they are not freshly cooked but store-bought pre-seasoned. Both fish and potatoes taste like they could be from something like ICA BASIC. In addition, it's like they knew their food sucks, they never came and asked about how the food is even when we were by the cashier paying, the staff didn't even speak just throw out the bill. I could totally understand why this restaurant is so unpopular and that should have been a red flag.

Therefore I would definitely recommend to STAY AWAY from dining there. It was extremely disappointing with both food...

Beställde whiskey sour. Förväntade mig ingenting allt för avancerat. Men det stod att det var makers mark i deras dryckes lista som jag dessutom bad om i baren. Fick istället jack Daniels och såg detta. Ifrågasatte det och undrade varför det inte var makers mark som det stod i menyn. Fick svaret att ”det står fel i menyn”, jag var villig att betala extra för att faktiskt få makers mark och frågade hur mycket det skulle kosta mig. Han gav mig ett svar jag inte hörd fast med en klar otrevlig ton. När jag bad honom repetera sitt svar sa han i en hotfull röst: ”Jag har inte tid att stå här och tjafsa med dig hela kvällen”. Jag blev nästan rädd och accepterade min whiskey sour med jack Daniels som helt ärligt var vidrig med artificiell citronjuice. Otrevligt, dåligt och så långt ifrån proffesionellt man kan komma.
