Having been told this is an authentic Indian restaurant, I went here with high expectations. The ambiance, set with interiors such as Chandigarh chairs, was pleasant and the menu looked great. I opted for the Chicken Tikka Makhani and added a naan bread. While the presentation of the food was just exquisite, the food was unfortunately a let down. The chicken was very tender, however the gravy tasted more like a sweet tomato sauce than a flavourful Murgh Makhani that you would call authentic. I must say, however, that in very short instances, it did take me back to the OG butter chicken place of Moti Mahal in Delhi. The gravy did well on the sweet side but not at all on the spice side. Read moreOne of the top 3 Indian Restaurants in whole of Sweden i would say, the flavours are so authentic you feel like you are having food at a restaurant in Delhi, Paneer and Dal Makhni are a must try and so is their vitlök naan, the best naan breads out in Sweden are available here. this is where you can have a great Indian dining experience. We ordered the food pretty late and the staff was courteous enough to have it ready when we reached, the quantities are also better than some other Indian restaurants. One things that i feel is quantity of curries served generally accross sweden are less that optimum ones for us Indians, but nevertheless Pataka is one great place to try the Indian flavour for sure.
