Sushi & Bowl — Restaurant in Umeå kommun

We noticed the staff did not change gloves when interrupting their work to take our order, also not after touching the iPad or before starting to make our food. They also struggled to understand that we wanted to replace shrimp with tofu (which is fine really, just some language barrier, but it's a pretty common thing for customers to ask). Then, the rice went into the microwave visibly in front of us, which was the nail in the coffin and we actually left even though we already had paid. No good sushi is made on microwaved rice.

The place looked nice, but we did not feel comfortable eating there. I'm surprised by the good reviews.

Ordered the Hawaiian bowl and salmon bowl to go to eat on the train. Friendly service but the food was underwhelming. There was a general lack of flavour. It almost seemed like the bowls were composed of leftovers; 10 edamame beans and a few random slices of tomato. The bowls were both missing fresh herbs and a sauce/dipp. Not so much fish considering the fact that it’s already filled out with some surimi sticks. Plus the mango is frozen and gets a very slimy texture. Rice was well cooked...

Very tasty sushi in a cosy environment. Shop located in the center of umeå town. I ordered mama's sushi and vegan sushi. Both were fresh and delicious in taste. Sushi was presented in a very nice plate. I liked avacado, rättika, and lax sushi. Rats were quite OK. The only thing which I didn't liked was their mesosoppa (meso soup). It was not in good taste.
