Aaltos — Restaurant in Uppsala kommun

Nice seating arrangements, can feel quite private for an almost completely open space. Downside is the acoustics, it's quite noisy. The restaurant was ~25% full when I was there,but it sounded as if it were bustling with people...(not the best music either)

The food was disappointing. So much salt in everything, salt level was Swedish style for sure...The calamari pieces were tiny. The body was so thin it was almost membranous, with hardly any substance. The batter was poorly made, not crispy or crumbly, was a bit hard even in some places...Super salty...The lamb too was overwhelmingly salty and a bit dry. Though I ordered medium well, it was still much drier than it should be...The asparagus was swimming in oil. The potato was crispy enough, but hardly seasoned. They should divide the salt more evenly between the different parts 🙂

Dessert was great though, thankfully.

Service was super.

Price was more than 700 for full course + a drink, not worth it, don't recommend for culinary experience, quite fine if it's only for...

A fine dining Italian restaurant with good atmosphere, GREAT tasting food with good selection of wines! We dine here several times with my family for special occasions and we always had a good experience. Because I am so proud of the name & the great food & experience we have with my family, I even booked it for a girls dinner with my friends. However we had a not pleasant experience with the waitress. She was not so happy serving us, first she almost like threw the bread on the table, and when she served the wine, she didn't let any of us taste it first before serving it and spill some on the table. She was so mean so we asked for another waitress. The whole experience was ruined because of her attitude towards us. Management shouldn't tolerate that kind of attitude of...

We went to Aaltos a warm summer evening, and got an outdoor seating. It's a very nice setting, lots of green trees and the road outside is hidden behind green leaf and a fence (you can't even hear the traffic). Strangely enough their web page told us the restaurant was fully booked, but there were lots of free tables when we got there. We had starter, main meal and shared a dessert, and we found everything nice and tasty. Only complaint is that one mussel in the main dish was still closed, but it was quickly replaced by the waitress. Apart from that blunder we we found everything...
