There are about ten sushi restaurants in central Västerås, each with its own unique charm.
However, not all of them offer ramen to the same extent as Aki, which I personally appreciate greatly.
I would like to start by saying how much we appreciated the friendly service during our visit, it made the experience even better. In this review, I will be reviewing the vegetarian ramen bowl.
The bowl that was served was very nicely presented and I could see that they had put a lot of feeling into their presentation. When it comes to ramen, you always take the first bite with your eyes and heart and I have to say that it was particularly delicious at Aki.
The broth offered a simple, fresh and slightly unique character with its nutty, full-bodied and lightly spicy tone in the style of sesame oil.
We could also taste a hint of coconut milk, something I had not experienced before in ramen, but it was a delightful surprise that I would love to experience again.
The noodles were absolutely perfect in their consistency and were not too hidden in the broth. They were just right in terms of being compliant and smooth between the chopsticks.
I will definitely visit Aki again and would absolutely go so far as to say that they surpass their competitors in the city by being a little innovative, but not straying too far from the authenticity...
