Batoul Gourmet — Restaurant in Västerås kommun

We definitely wanted to have an enjoyable night out at this "syrian gourmet restaurant". We booked a table in the evening and ordered a so called "special" dish in advance since it said so on the meny. Most underwhelming experience we ever had. The website is polar opposite to what this place is: pretends to be a restaurant but is certainly not. The meny looks great, so many lovely dishes from syrian cuisine.

When we arrived, the fire alarm was going, staff in regular day clothes, cold unpleasant environment. Worn out interiour. They wanted to seat us right at the entrance next to a big table with a family with four little children eating what looked like shawarma and nothing else. We declined and chose a table closer to the "bar".

If we wouldn't have asked no one would have come to take our orders. We waited ten minutes until someone handed us menus. Ten more minutes until we finally could order. None of the starters we ordered were available, the owner (?) offered one starter with bread on the house. After 20 more minutes the starter came (without the promised bread) with the main dishes and the drinks together. We ordered lemon garlic sharhat and basmashkat. These dishes were a disgrace to syrian cuisine. Cold plates, dried out meat, bland rice, bland everything. Awful.

Next to us, guests were smoking shisha pipes. The fire alarm went off again due to the smoke. They kept the door open and the draft was not bearable, but no one cared really.

We tried eating it but there was nothing enjoyable at all. This place is not a restaurant but a shisha bar where people eat shawarma. Staff is not recognizable since everyone wears regular day wear.

The bathrooms were not clean. The place itself was not kept well. There is one wall that looks okay and that is the one pictured everywhere on the internet.

We must have been there for one hour or so, we then went to pay. The owner (?) came and said that one starter was on the house and asked if it was good. We didn't say much, we just wanted to leave.

Most awful food experience ever. We can not recommend this...

Well we searched on a Google, driven there and ordered family and small pizza. We got 2 pizza's when I opened the box and the family pizza was like, an aunt running in soccer field. He made 2 normal pizza's stretched it, spoiled the shape to make it family one. When I asked him that it's not family he said yes it's but the box is bigger. How confident that lair was. Fake dealing, fake behaviour. Never...

the worst place ever ...poor service ..i waited for over an hour and the resturant was empty and they haven't brought my food and asked them why? the told me we have pressure on the kitchen.. so i left the resturant hungry ... i will never...
