Laxmi Indisk Restaurang AB — Restaurant in Västerås kommun

I have eaten here several times, and have also brought friends from other countries ( pre covid ) to this restaurant. I always say, that you have not visited Västerås if you have not eaten at Laxmi🤤 This is the absolute best Indian food in Västerås ( yes, i tried the other ones located here too), best in Sweden, and, probably anywhere in europe or south america too for that matter! The chicken is always impeccable in flavour and marinade, the sauces served to the dishes are the most mouthwatering you will ever taste. Their safron rice is heavenly, mild, fragrant and soft to the tounge. But, something almost better than everything i have ever tasted, is their legendary naan breads! Order the ponir naan or the peshwari naan! Staff is very nice and friendly, but they are also very discreet and will not hover over you. They always make sure that all of your needs are satisfied to the longest extent they can and have no problems making sure you are full after the meal.

This Indian restaurant in Stockholm has a beautiful and spacious dining area with convenient nearby street parking—but sadly, the food and service don’t live up to the setting.

The dishes were overpriced with small portions, and the taste was far from authentic. We ordered tandoori chicken, which was badly burnt. When we raised the issue, the waiter responded defensively instead of acknowledging the mistake. The butter naan was oddly sweet with barely any cheese, and the regular naan was thin and hard. Butter chicken lacked flavor, and even the mango lassi wasn’t good.

No complimentary salad was offered, which is usually standard in most Indian restaurants.
