Torre — Restaurant in Baden

I had dinner here with a friend after hearing great things about the food and reading positive reviews. The owner personally served us and made several recommendations, which made us feel quite welcome, and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was good, but the meat was only average. For the price, I expected a little more in terms of flavor.

When we received the bill, it was higher than expected. It turned out the owner had mistakenly told us that the side dish was included with the steak, but that wasn’t the case. After a lengthy discussion with the waiter, she acknowledged the error and adjusted the bill, as the owner wasn’t available to clarify the situation and already left. While I appreciate that the issue was resolved, the whole experience felt unprofessional, especially for a restaurant with such a reputation.
