It’s a nice little place, with a nice terrace, but…I had a carrot cake which was very good, but the apple crumble was awful! It looked and tasted as it had been deep frozen. There were almost no apple pieces, it was dry and didn’t taste good at all. It ended up in the waste basket… a pity for the 5 or 6CHF I spent on it! Much too expensive for...

If you want to feel at home, or like in a romantic movie, this is the ideal cafeteria, warm atmosphere, exquisite decoration, a wide variety of teas and coffees, as well as delicious pastries, and baguettes... the service, the attention to the client is impeccable. It has become one of my favorite places......

Das Bruderholz Café in Basel ist ein echter Geheimtipp! Mit seinem gemütlichen Ambiente, freundlichem Service und einer kleinen aber feinen Auswahl an leckeren Speisen und Getränken hat es mich restlos begeistert. Die hausgemachten Kuchen und das stets frisch zubereitete Essen sind sehr zu empfehlen und die Kaffeespezialitäten einfach top.
