SUSHI TENZAN — Restaurant in Basel

Very good food told #KAJ or -humorgruppenKAJ from Sweden/Finland who came on fourth place in the Eurovision songcontest in Basel with around 200 000 000 viewers 17.5.2025. The day before the grandfinal, 16.5.2025 Mauri Hermundson bought food to them from this place, KAJ just told what food they liked/wanted and where the closest restaurant that made that food was, and Mauri brought the food from there. Or the people that made the food brought the food to KAJ or Kevin, Axel and Jakob, EVERYTHING is on a youtube video/ film about KAJ. Food is considerably good. I had tantanmee ramen but felt too rich. Sushi looks to be their usual specialty so will go for that next round. Place is usually busy so best to reserve early, especially for a big group. One thing that can be better is the service. The guy staff was friendly but the lady staff (guess to be the manager) seem to be more stern. We also suspected hot water refill for our tea is chargeable when she sort of refused to top it up just like that. I can understand it’s their right but just feel it’s too calculative and crude in the approach. Perhaps a more gentle way to explain is okay. Overall still good to visit and location...

I am writing this review to address the rude manager at this location. I was asked why I didn’t have a reservation at lunch despite there being multiple empty tables and other guests were not asked. I was brought the wrong meal and was then very rudely treated when I politely addressed it. Mr Tenzan should be aware of the management at this location as I am sure he would not approve due to the level of service and care his staff...
