Ô Capitaine — Restaurant in Bern

Very bad service. They dropped a whole plate of mussels on our friends upper leg (she went home / and 6 days later she still had bubbles from burning) and they wanted to make us pay for her portion too. And the end we paid the entire dinner without any discount or gesture. The whole evening they never asked where she went and how she feels. That’s not the kind of service you want when eating out. Very disappointing.

Update after the owners reply: at the end, after we complained that they didn’t make any gesture and our friend had to go to the hospital, they gave us a bottle of wine and told us that their insurance will cover the incident (which they didn’t). But we would have expected this from the beginning and not after we explicitly asked...

Very nice place to have a coffee, brunch or a drink. The coffee is delicious and the beer selection is great. You can also have a good brunch there. But the place is pretty small and quite often there are not enough seats/tables for all. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to wait way too long for your coffee. We dine here last Feb 14 with family. Service was good. Food was also good The table assigned to us was too small. We are 3 people and the table was a small square table with 3 chairs.
