Mont Liban — Restaurant in Bern

I was so looking forward to this restaurant. I've heard great reports from Lebanese and none Lebanese people about the great food.

Unfortunately what we got served WAS NOT GOOD. I have been eating Lebanese food for many many years all over the world and particularly in Sydney which has a great Lebanese community.

The food we had was NOT fresh that I know. The meat on the meat Mezze was not done on the spot a la carte but rather cooked lunch or dinner before and only reheated.

I also felt there was no value for money. For 31.00 the Mezze Teller was dismal. I know meat is expensive in Switzerland but the smallest amount of hommus ?

The service was friendly but the wait very long as previous reviewers said. Now my final thought would be. If you are an insider, friend or regular you probably get great food no doubt.......... but what we had was not. We arrived at Mont Lebanon restaurant. The waiter started questioning us about where we are from. After 15 seconds the restaurant manager came, the feeling was horrible, we felt like we were being interrogated in an unpleasant way. It felt like we were in an interrogation room. We understood that this place is owned by a racist people, who probably understood our source, and left it in a mature way after feeling unsafe, in order to avoid unnecessary conflicts. I don’t know about the food and can’t relate, but this place needs to be shut down immediately regardless of the quality of the food, nonetheless after what happened in Europe in the past which can not happen again, especially in 2023. I am traveling in Switzerland from past 15 days and this is the worst restaurant I have experienced . I ordered 3 wraps and the person charged me more than what was written in the menu .. I asked for the clarification and he said that he made a mistake in the system and in real he was making fool and cheating us .. he thought that we are foreigners and he can cheat us with money easily He charged more than 15 chf from us extra which was totally unacceptable Moreover the food quality was so poor that I got sick after eating it Please do not go to this restaurant ever if you don’t want to get cheated This is my only worst restaurant experience...
