Café Kairo — Restaurant in Bern

Food was unfortunately subpar - the vegan burger was very boring, only with a slice of tomato, a bit of onion and a thin slice of gherkin. If anything, the salad was the highlight on the plate. The pommel frites were also incredibly salty and I could not eat them alone, only in combination with the rest of the food. They had no sugar free drink options, so the waitress offered a lemonade with reduced syrup after I mentioned lemonade as an option. I could not taste the lemon, only a sweet taste that resembled honey or agave syrup. The falafel plate was also disappointing with only 3-4 small falafel of 2 bites each.

As we were paying they also told us it’s cash only and we would have to go to an ATM located 7 minutes away. That was not advertised and for a recognisable European city again disappointing.

This looked like it would be a lovely experience - nice outdoor space, quite alternative and hip, a bit different. But the food and the facilities surrounding the service, like payments, severely...

Imagine caring about the neighbourhood mental health and not blasting the exact same 10 songs (if even this many) at the exact same hours of the evening, every damn week (Maria Carey, Céline Dion, Cher, Adrian Minune, ...).
