La Carbonara — Restaurant in Bern

I Will start with the positive because there is not much to say: entrance wasn’t that bad we took tartare and it was well made, unfortunately it took so long to come and the waitress served us the plate at the same time? Had to ask her to keep it hot while we was eating entrance, we took a chilli pizza that tasted nothing more than chilli and oil, thing was dripping oil, and cherry on the cake: my girlfriend took carbonara, it was over cooked pasta’s with overdose of cream, bad meat and had to empty half the salt grinder in it to eat them, which is very regrettable for a restaurant called "la carbonara". My colleagues and I had lunch at Carbonara last week. The restaurant, located in Lorraine, offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside, and the atmosphere was excellent.

Located a little away from the busier and 'cooler' areas on Bern. Frutti di Mare was delicious, with generous seafood portions. Pizza was good, just slightly oily. The prices are okay. Decore could do with modernising. Service staff were friendly enough, but you might experience some language barriers if you are a tourist. This is the only restaurant that I have been to in Europe that would not refill the teapot with hot water for me... Instead they wanted me to order a second...
