An Authentic Taste of India in Bern! 🇮🇳
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Kitchen in Bern, and what an experience it was! A complete short brief Interview with owner of the Resto - Indian Kitchen can be viewed on YOUTUBE searching Nikhil Kharvi and Family at Indian Kitchen Bern or The channel Balbharti kids...channel name shall be changed in the coming days...🥰
From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. The positive reviews on Google are definitely well-deserved and seem completely organic. The food is simply divine! It's that moments, much like the critic in Ratatouille, where you take the first bite, close your eyes, and are instantly transported to India. It’s a truly authentic and mesmerizing culinary journey. 😋
I have to give a special shout-out to the chefs. While the laccha paratha could have been slightly better, it was still absolutely amazing! 👌
One of the biggest plus points for me, and something I noticed other foreigners were also happy about, is the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Everything—the cutlery, crockery, and the whole dining area—is spotless. The seating arrangement is wonderful and the Bollywood theme creates a fantastic ambiance that really adds to the experience. Even the restroom was pristine and didn't have that typical restaurant smell. It’s clear they take great pride in their presentation and facilities. ✨

Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant after seeing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was quite negative.
We ordered onion bhajis and samosas for starters, the bhajis were okay but had more potato than onion, and the samosas were very disappointing. For the mains, we had Navratan Korma and Chole with Lachha Paratha and naan. We did enjoy the parathas and the chole at first, but later that evening, both of us became extremely bloated and had severe stomach pain that lasted for hours.
We initially thought the bloating might have been from the starters, but when I had a small portion of the leftover parathas and chole the next day, the same painful reaction happened again.
I would’ve given 3 stars for taste, but after getting sick twice from the food, I can only give 1 star and tell you to...
Read moreIf you're in Bern and craving authentic Indian cuisine, Indian Kitchen is a must-visit. We recently dined here and had an amazing experience. The Kadhai Chicken was perfectly cooked, with tender chicken and a flavorful, spicy gravy. The Paneer Butter Masala had soft paneer and a rich, creamy sauce that was simply delicious. The Steam Rice was light and fluffy, while the Butter Naan was soft, buttery, and the perfect accompaniment.
A special mention goes to the owner, who was incredibly kind and generous. He gave us complimentary Coke and Steam Rice, which was a sweet gesture that made the experience even better.
The food, service, and warm atmosphere made for a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend Indian Kitchen for anyone in Bern craving authentic and flavorful...
