No longer the place once so much enjoyed where one could go to relax with a coffee, a drink, read the newspapers and/or a chat with friends, the staff or other customers, at any time of day or evening every day of the week, or for an excellent.meal, as was previously the case in the friendly and attentive local family run hotel.

In the very heart of Brig, please make an effort to make this venue more welcoming as before to locals as well as to visitors rather than just another of the already plentiful featureless and anonymous mass...

This place gave me mixxed feelings, on the one hand the parpardelle with wildboar-ragout was excellent, on the other hand the spaghetti carbonara "originale" was made with bacon, even though I specifically asked before ordering if they used guanciale. After talking to staff about it, it seems the cook did not communicate they ran out of guanciale... Sadly not acceptable for a place that calls itself the...

During our eight nights in Brig, we ate here three times. The food is fantastic and the service is equally as good. They have outdoor seating at the front, and a really nice, larger, quiet and sheltered seating area out the back. We sampled the vegetarian pinza and the vegan "Mix & Match" homemade pasta.
