REVIEW LA PLAGE
If you are looking for a delicious dinner in a quiet and rustic chalet, La Plage is the place for you. Nestled in between the border of a wooded area and the lake(Le lac de Moubra), this little very quaint dining room reminds you that you are in the Swiss Alps.
We were kindly seated indoors by Simonnet Musto after checking our passes sanitaires. He brought us a nice glass of white wine as an “apero” followed by an original “amuse-bouche” which consisted of one lightly fried perch filet served in a shot glass.
We had seen the menu which was on display at the entrance of the restaurant as we were walking around the lake. Both my husband and I had our heart set on the “os a la Joelle” bone marrow and the roast squabs, so we did not even need to see the menu. Nina, our server, was kind, personable and on point through the entire evening. She made a lovely evening even better just by her friendly demeanor.

How long does it take to cook 4 nuggets and fries I wonder ? 1 hour it takes at La Plage on a weekday!
I wanted to be quick so I’ve ordered just a starter and to my big surprise it arrived together with the others’ mains and they have charged me twice the amount!! Ha ! Although it wasn’t offered on the menu nor there was a warning on this one!
Maybe we were just unlucky. Or maybe there are no nice places around and they have customers due to lake location, but I felt really disappointed.
I would definitely suggest to stay away from...
Read moreVery enjoyable lunch in a wonderful location. After all the years we've been coming to Lac Moubra it never disappoints. Salmon poke bowl was extremely tasty and filling. Menu is probably tilted more towards dinner than lunch but I guess it depends on your appetite during the day. It gets extremely busy so best to book online to avoid disappointment. We had friendly and helpful service, they just got stretched when the restaurant was full so we waited a little for the bill at the end. Just be patient, sit back and...
