REVIEW CA SY

AN EPICUREAN SUCCESS IN THE SWISS ALPS

Cleverly named after the lovely couple who owns the somewhat new establishment in Montana, Caroline and Sylvain, this restaurant most certainly stands out in a good way. Modern and beautifully decorated, this fine restaurant is a great addition to the already existing eateries in the area.

As you enter you are greeted by everyone who works there with an especially warm acknowledgment from the owner and general manager. Caroline run a tight ship with the know-how and expertise of a true professional. Her husband, Sylvain, is in the kitchen creating beautiful dishes that remain unique to the area.

The menu is not your basic run of the mill list of foods that you find in all the establishments. It is cleverly assembled into a fun rendition of dishes. Whoever put the menu together is very creative…just an example: Easy Cosy Casey Burger, a scrumptious version of a classic veal burger but BETTER on every level. Another instance is the conserve de thon en tartare. I asked the charming server,”how could fresh tuna be a “conserve”???” Conserve in French means “in a can”. He replied the fresh tuna tartare is placed in a can for an origin al presentation. Well it was just that, and on it was a “CASY LABEL” to add to its allure. The tranchettes de filets de boeuf moutardees is another delicious dish, which could be had as an appetizer or a main course. It is a generous portion of beef tenderloin pieces dressed with a lovely mustard arugula pesto.

We had dinner at CASY the other night. My husband “oohed and ached” over the Caesar salad, which generally can be pretty BASIC, but not at CASY. We then had the Pintade, a moist guinea fowl breast topped with a generous slice of sautéed foil gras and a truffle gravy. An absolute DELIGHT for even the most discerning palate.

Caroline, a woman well-versed in hospitality is at the heart of the business. She clearly has lots of experience and has a sixth sense when dealing with her staff and customers alike.

CASY stands out as one of the finest restaurants in Crans – Montana. A MUST TRY for anyone who knows FOOD, QUALITY AND...

OUTSTANDING!

OK, as an American having dinner in this ski town called "Crans Montana", here is my review.

A FRIGGEN +

I was recommended this spot, CaSy (yes, it's spelled like that) by hotel staff. I owe that hotel staff employee at least 2 drinks.

I was greeted as I entered, was told there would be a wait (I had no reservation), went to the bar area, had a tasty beer, 15 minutes later, I was seated.

I do not look at menus.

I simply inform my waiter "I'm hungry & surprise me".

This waiter "killed it"

My appetizer was scallops and they (especially the sauce) were "Off the Hook". It's easy to screw up scallops, the chef clearly mastered them here!

Then I recieved a plate, I "think" it's called Gyros. WOW! Really WOW WOW!

Just look at the pictures.

This spot is spectacular. The owner (the wife of the team) walks around and checks on customers and chats with them. Her husband is the chef, and he is an All Star.

To note, as a former bar/restaurant owner, here is the "clincher".

The 25 year old employees (wait staff) are "spot on". It's easy to see they like working at this spot, they hustle, they put forth effort. Employees that do this are a reflection of the owner's leadership.

Restaurant owner's elsewhere should pay the owner's of CaSy to learn how to run a...

We were 6 adults and 3 kids who enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Casy. From the moment we entered, we were warmly greeted by a team member who took our coats and showed us to our table. We were given a nice table big enough to fit everyone and to be completely at ease. The menu is not too "eccentric " but different enough to stand out from the other local restaurants. Amongst our order, we had the veal burger, which was divine, the pork, which was super tender, and the silky "mash potato." For desert, if you weren't too hungry, you could choose a "café/thé gourmand," which comes accompanied by little homemade pastries....so worth it!! I had the tiramisu, delicious :-) Caroline (the owner) came to check on us every now and then to see how we were doing, and the entire team was attentive throughout the service. A highly recommended place to enjoy good food and amazing service. Can't wait to go back again soon! Thank you to the entire team for a...

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Casy in the upper centre (Montana) of the sky resort Crans-Montana, Valais canton, Switzerland. We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant, starting with an appetizer featuring various pumpkin preparations—creative, with wonderful textures and flavors. We also tried the beef tartare, which was perfectly seasoned and had a unique twist. The saddle of venison that followed was cooked and seasoned to perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed an innovative, sweet reimagining of a vegetable, playing on textures in a delightful way. Overall, a wonderful lunch experience with a friendly, welcoming staff who went out of their way to engage with tourists—much appreciated!

I'm so jealous that Crans-Montana has this restaurant. If it were in my town, I'd be there every week. I'm not a 'foodie' but I can appreciate when a dish has been expertly prepared. Everything we ordered was delicious. And the staff, including our waiter 'Tim', was outstanding. We were graciously received and taken meticulously attended to. We visited twice during our week in C-M.
