The Geneva area is one of hidden treasures. The city is riddled with delights for those with the means and the audacity to spend them on outrageously overpriced pleasures, and it has its fair share of straightforward garbage for its plentitude of bottom-feeders (yours truly included), but within that mozaic jungle, a few shining stars emerge that somehow, with god knows what sorcery, manage to put forward incredible quality at prices that do not immediately induce tears but perhaps even coax a moderately enthusiastic nod of approval from the passers-by that would soon become their customers. It is quite simply the best pad thai I've had anywhere in the developed world, and it is priced at a level that one might, if they time it right, find such a sum as to meet its meagre demands in the returned coins slot at a strategically located Geneva vending machine. Never experience such bad reception and humiliation. We made the order and was told to wait for 25 minutes.
