Fayrouz Garden — Restaurant in Geneva

We had known Lebanese food through street kebabs, falafel hummus, etc. So trying a full, truly Lebanese meal was a wonderful introduction! We had a huge "Assortment Royal” for 2 comprising of 17 mezzes (a cultural surprise not unlike Dutch-Indonesian rice table). The food was excellent, very moist, tasty, nicely spiced, fresh and plentiful. A great plus was the outdoor terrace seating shaded by a huge old tree on a pedestrian walk, well away from traffic. As an extra, we enjoyed tasting Lebanese wine and Mehalabye for desert (a cypriot pudding made with milk and corn flour, with crushed pistachio and rose water syrup). We also learned how well mint tea went with Lebanese deserts as opposed to coffee. Fayrouz apparently was opened just recently in Oct 2019 and is family owned and run. We were three people and had the mezze selection — around 6 to 8 traditional Lebanese dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious: hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, stuffed vine leaves, labneh, and more. We also enjoyed both hot and cold mint tea, which paired perfectly with the meal. For dessert, we had a creamy pudding topped with crushed pistachios — just amazing.

The service was incredibly kind and attentive, without being intrusive. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming — it truly feels like home. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for a relaxed dinner.

I reserved a table via Fork ( Fourchette ) at this restaurant because they advertised a 50% discount on menu items. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, as I ended up paying full price. I found the promotion to be misleading, and as a result, I won't be using Fork again or returning to this restaurant in the future!
