Luigia — Restaurant in Geneva

Last month we ate here and the service was awful. We arrived at opening time and it took awhile for someone to take our drink order, and then our food order. My pizza arrived without the correct ingredients and as a replacement for the spicy sausage I ordered, the waiter only offered me spicy oil to pour on top. He didn't offer to replace my pizza for the one I ordered. Then when we went to pay they didn't offer a discount, but after arguing with them they took 5chf off the bill. They made a mistake with the order at the table beside ours and completely comped her meal. Tonight we had a table reserved for my daughter's birthday and had another bad experience. Once again, my pizza was made wrong! So as my family ate I sat and watched until my pizza was remade. Instead of receiving a discount on the bill they actually added a 2chf charge that I had to argue to get taken off! Ridiculous service. If you are from the USA, you’ll be surprised by the pizza and cost. USA pizza is huge, greasy, heavy, salty, and cheap which makes it addictingly good. Their signature pizzas come at a hefty price of $40-50. We got the margharita pizzas, which are $20-30. We had a margharita pizza with pepperoni which was medium in size, good, not salty, not greasy, and the dough was light in texture. The ingredients were fresh and not preserved. The price for their signature pizzas was a little ridiculous in my opinion, not sure why anyone would pay $50 for a pie, but they boast fresh ingredients.

The seafood pasta was mildly disappointing. But then again, very different than anything from the US. There was no flavour. We had two different seafood pastas that were cooked to perfection al dente, but all you can taste was the fishy sea taste. Definitely needed something to counteract the fishy taste such as lemon juice or white wine. Overall, I would get the pizza, and not don’t bother...

We searched it on Google Maps for dinner and to celebrate for my birthday hahah We didn’t make reservations but simply walk in on a Wednesday Pizza was brilliant, we love it a lot!
