Le Point-du-Jour — Restaurant in Geneva

DO NOT EVEN TRY So if I could give a zero star I would have done that! While the restaurant was not crowded, they made us wait for more than 40min to just get the food while they told us it won’t take more than 20min. The waitress was super rude!! She was harassing me and my friends to order fast in the beginning and then while she did that, they didn’t bring the food for a long time. Also they have a weird policy that you can’t order only food! They ask everyone to order a drink and a food!!! Even if you don’t like to take a drink! This is the only place in Geneva which also charges you for not getting a drink!!! And also if you ask for tap water you will be charged 4 chf After all the harassment and rude behaviour, at the end as we ordered too much food just to don’t be kicked out on a cold rainy night, they charged us even for having the rest of the food taken away! I will be in touch with the authorities as soon as possible, to make sure they will be checked upon and will get the punishment...

I don’t recommend this place AT ALL. The very rude staff will rush you to order and then take forever to bring the food to you. The lady who was pouring our drink was so harsh that she poured half of the juice out of the cup and then slammed the bottom into the table. We didn’t even want that juice in the first place they forced us to order it b.c of their very weird policy that one has to order at least one drink and one dish. They even charge you extra for not ordering drinks! On top of that the restaurant was ice cold all the costumers had to keep their coats on, very uncomfortable environment. Their dishes doesn’t worth the money you pay and they still try to rip you off here and there e.g. they will charge you for boxing the leftovers of the extra food they made you to order! Just try somewhere else there are plenty of options to go to have a pleasant time, this one will just waste yours, doesn’t...

I have been to restaurants on five continents and experienced all sorts of freaky things but this restaurant just took it to the next level. They offer Italian cuisine which has been always my top choice and they seem to be good at it (their lasagna is delicious), but they are failing in the service. So I shoot the single star mainly to the service.

They write in the menu something along the following line:

tout changement de garniture, ainsi que les repas pris sans boissons, entraine un supplement 3 CHF.

nous avertissons notre aimable clientele qu'une portion de pates pour 2 personnes est servie uniquement aux enfants
