Restaurant Libelle — Restaurant in Lucerne

Found this place in an effort to find great food with a willingness to try different parts of Lucerne. I LOVE that this restaurant keeps a very limited menu (for lunch, there are 2 mains that are always offered and 2 that rotate - 1 with an animal protein and 1 vegetarian) - quality was top notch. We had the Saltimbocca over a bed of risotto and the antipasti platter since they had sold out of a pork special of the day - both were great. For our 2 kids that were in tow, we shared the generous portions with them and ordered a pasta with red sauce. It was quite cute that they came out with kids plates with fun designs on them. The post-lunch coffee was also a highlight - flat white, mocha, cappuccino this is your place. All in all, a true neighborhood gem, worth the 10 min to get outside of the tourist...

Libelle is more than just a restaurant - it’s a place with heart and purpose. I was impressed by their involvement in a meaningful social program supporting individuals through an unemployment initiative. This thoughtful approach creates a welcoming atmosphere while giving back to the community.

The service was warm and attentive, and the food was genuinely delicious, every dish was with local ingredients and thoughtfully prepared. The ambience is another highlight, with high ceilings and beautifully designed interiors that create a spacious yet cozy vibe.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience that combines excellent food, great service, and a noble mission. Definitely worth visiting and...

It’s quite insulting that they charge you 3,50 chf after ordering brunch for 3 people (orange juices, coffees, mains and desserts). Definitely wouldn’t recommend it and never coming back. Staff however are very nice and helpful. Even though in their reply they say it was an oversight it wasn’t, as we asked the staff and they politely said they will still charge us for a glass...
