We loved this place! We had never visited a museum like that. We learn in a very good kind of way information about a history event that many do not know about.
I think it is great for adults as well as for families. We remember very vividly this event, after being in the museum.
The fresco is breathtaking and thrilling. The setting and the way information are taught are also very agreeable and enjoyable. It is not just visual, we can also hear a well made recording (second floor) and read infographies on the screen on the first floor (with recording).
All in all, a great place where we can experience history and imagine "in live" what it could be like living as a French soldier of the Bourbaki army.
For us: definitely a must for people staying a couple of days in Luzern. Thank you very much to the museum for this...
Read moreA super unique experience that has some art and some history. You take a journey up to the first floor, where you watch a short documentary recounting the reason why the panorama was created and how they built it.
Upstairs is an immersive experience of the actual panorama. I would allow for about 20 minutes for the entire experience. Get the Lucerne Museum, Swiss Pass that complements nicely with the Picasso Museum in the Swiss transportation museum, unless you want to pay Fr.12 per person.
