Came here for some cookies and of course the Nidelkuchen (cream cake). We just had some fantastic Nidelkuchen in Neuchatel a few days ago and wondered how it would compare. Well, we were a bit disappointed. The base was pretty dry and there just wasn't enough cream or cream flavour. It's just a different style than the one in Neuchatel and there's nothing wrong with that. But we just liked the other one much more; creamier, softer, fresher. The cookies were just ok as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful though....

If you are passing this cute village of Murten/Morat, be sure to try their local delicacy 😋 called the Nidelkuchen. It's an interesting soft bread-like pie with a yummy caramelized glaze with a hint of citron flavor. The staff are very kind and friendly, so pop in and get a Nidelkuchen to go or dine outside...
