Tête de Course — Restaurant in Nyon

The food is good, service is OK during the week but utterly inattentive on the week-ends. Been twice during the week, twice on week-ends, seating is confusing and seems to be difficult for the team to handle, even if you reserve well in advance. Went yesterday (last time...) for Father's Day with our 2 kids, to spoil Daddy, waited at least 20 minutes for the waitress to take our simple brunch order, then after 45 minutes we had to ask one of the waiters if there was a problem in the kitchen as the whole team kept passing by us but our food was just not arriving and no-one, including our waitress took any notice of us - not a care in the world. 5 minutes later the waitress came back saying they had lost our order. By then it was 14h, our whole family was starving and as you are probably aware, finding any spot that'll take a family of 4 for lunch after 14h in Switzerland can be a challenge. This place is certainly unique: It offers good food and a cool vibe. The branding of the restaurant/café is excellent and the quality of their products is solid. I personally love their lunch options and desserts (their chocolate chip cookie is really outstanding!) However, service is not great at all. I have been treated phenomenally and also terribly in a matter of two consecutive visits. One may walk in and not have a single server taking an order (I have actually left twice because of this). It pains me to say it, but the internet is awful. There is no reception of any sort inside and the connection offered by Tête de Course is far from ideal. We came here for a lunch, the place was quite busy. I liked the interior. The menu is quite small, but it seems to be great spot for brunch or burger. I was a bit confused they didn’t have menu in English and also our waiter didn’t speak any English. Since we didn’t order anything complicated I expected we would wait less then 40-45 minutes for soup, salad, quiche, burger and avocado toast. The soup was nice but it was boiling hot.
