This used to be my favorite Mexican place in the greater Geneva metropolitan area, but I had a terrible experience tonight. We were a group of five people and we used their iPad system to order cocktails, appetizers and main courses after arriving about 10 mins after they opened (7:10). We double checked our order on the iPad — with two of us looking over the order before sending it. The cocktails and appetizers came fairly quickly, but at 8:20, after about at least 45 mins after we ordered, I hunted down the server and told her that our food had not arrived. She said that was because we had not ordered immediately. I said we didn’t — it took us about 10 mins— but that it still had been a long time and the food had not arrived. The message from the server was basically, “this is your fault.” She came by the table shortly afterward and said the we had not ordered main courses. We explained that, yes, we had ordered five main courses and that two of us checked the iPad before sending our order. She didn’t seem to believe us. We ordered the main courses again (using the iPad again), and the food came out fairly quickly. By this time, we were all very hungry and frustrated with the wait. The quality was poor. There was a paltry amount of Nopales in the Nopales taco filling — it was mostly sweet potato. (The shrimp tacos were fine.)
I am not sure why the customer service has become so poor, and the food quality has slipped but it was very notable. But the thing that makes it very unlikely that we will ever return — and the reason why you should not go — is that they made a mistake and blamed the customers. And they embarrassed us in front of our friends. That’s not how a good business...
Read moreTerrible food, very small portions, high prices. With 2 small tacos at ~18 CHF you won’t really have enough food for one adult person. It is meant to be a Mexican bar but at those prices / size of portions you can go to many much better restaurants in town. I don’t understand the concept of this place even if I really wanted to like it as I love Mexican food Replying to the owner message: yes, there are restaurants in Nyon (Swiss - whatever you meant by this) where you don’t need to spend 35 CHF to leave satisfied and full. Few examples for other guests: Luigia where pasta menu starts at 16.90 CHF and many cost 22-23 CHF (minus 20% discount if taken to go, like I did at your place without any to-go discount), La Croix-Verte many pastas and pizzas at 25 CHF, Naruto with excellent Ramen Tan Tan Men at 24 CHF. All of those options are excellent and you don’t need two plates to leave happy and full. Good luck...
Read moreI was excited to try a new restaurant in Nyon however I was deeply saddened and disappointed after my first experience here. First of all, you have to order off of ipads which comes with complications, inconveniences and generally makes the customers feel neglected. The interior decor of the restaurant is very tacky with graffiti on the walls. The service is quite bad, we had to keep reminding the waiters to bring us certain dishes and drinks that we had ordered. We had to wait quite a long time to receive our food. Food was good but quite overpriced. The toilets are also in a hallway that is very busy making it quite awkward to wash your hands as you are always in the way of people passing through. Get rid of ipads, slow service and this restaurant would be...
