CASA COSI — Restaurant in Opfikon

I have to preface this by saying I am a Black man. I came here for pizza and one of the servers told me to wait as he sat two parties that were behind me in line. I thought that was odd but then once he circled back to me I asked if I could sit inside and he told me no, I had to sit outside. There were seats available inside and he had just sat two parties behind me inside (they also did not have reservations) so it was really bizarre. When I asked the guy why I couldn't sit inside, he just walked away and went on about his business haha. I walked in and another guy who said he was the owner (and the brother of the guy who originally ignored me) was super helpful and confused as to why the first guy acted the way he did. He assured me that what happened was nothing nefarious and an honest mistake, but that just obviously was not the case. I didn't have any issues the rest of the evening but this is not the experience that I or anyone should be having in 2023 (especially after coming on a long flight from another country). Everyone else who worked there seemed really nice but they have a bad apple...

This is a fantastic restaurant located a short walk from the Marriott Kameha near the Zurich airport. I found it while here a year ago and returned tonight for my last meal in Zurich after a nearly two week work trip.

This is a very local place and I recommend reservations. When I called the host was able to help me in English which was greatly appreciated. The menu, being Italian, needs little translation from Italian or German for English speakers.

The food is fantastic. It is fresh with good serving sizes and a reasonable price. The staff were all courteous. I had tomato cream soup and a calzone followed by pistachio gelato and an espresso. My coworker had salad and risotto with a gelato flavor I do not remember.

Located nearby a Park, and not far of public transportation at the same time, you will be gladly surprised for the amazing , inviting and positive mood of the outstanding service Staff led by the young but experienced Italian Restaurant host Rocco Cosi .
