About food: This restaurant is the best Iranian restaurant in ZH in terms of food quality. However, the quality of Iranian food in ZH is too low. And this restaurant cannot compete at all with good Iranian restaurants in Berlin and Paris.
About staff: We always have to wait a lot to be able to order. We have to wait a lot to receive food. And we mainly receive the receipt about 30 minutes after we ask to pay. During the weekend things go wrong—They even discriminate between Iranian and non Iranian customers, The staff are not enough and not professional.
When we go with friends sometimes they do not accept to split the bill at first!! And we have to insist with a discussion that they do it.
This time I asked them if they have a student discount for me (they gave me a student discount last time), and they replied that I have posted a bad comment about them! I never did it, they continued that we were sure you did it, what is your name and e-mail? I told them my name and my e-mail and then they gave me information about my humanitarian activities which horrified me!!! This behavior is not nice, polite, and professional. And I have to confess it is suspicious. I will never go back there again. There are three people who were with me when all the above-mentioned stories happened. دوستان ایرانی، طبخ غذا در این مطبخ بد نیست اما رفتارشان غیرحرفهای، بیادبانه و غیرمسئولانه در قبال حریم خصوصیست (ن.ک. توضیحات بالا به...
Read moreOnce upon a time, Banoo was considered the finest Persian restaurant in all of Europe. The food was exceptional—every dish was prepared with care, bursting with authentic flavors and presented with elegance. Dining there felt like a true culinary experience, where quality and consistency were second to none.
Sadly, those days seem to be gone. The quality has dropped from top-notch to almost non-existent. The dishes now lack the depth of flavor, freshness, and attention to detail that once set Banoo apart. Portions feel careless, and the presentation no longer matches the standards the restaurant was once famous for.
I strongly believe the chef has been replaced, and with that change, the soul of the kitchen has disappeared as well. What used to be a destination for unforgettable meals has now become a shadow of its...
Read moreWe decided to try this restaurant after a recommendation from some friends from Middle East who visited us recently and spoke wonders of it. I must say that they were absolutely right: the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We sat outside on a nice and chilled Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and ended up spending 3 very enjoyable hours there with our kids and some friends, sampling wonderfully fresh and tasty food. My wife is from the Middle East and a fan of Persian cuisine and she rated the food as very authentic. I can’t speak for authenticity but all the food we ate was wonderful: lentils soup, Shirazi salad, Khoreshte Bamieh and Djudje Soltani. We accompanied everything with their special persian tea and finished with a marvelous pistachios ice cream and strong coffee. Our new favorite...
