Spent a lovely meal at Cafe Rosenstaedter in Rapperswil. We had only 50 minutes of free time on a tour and needed to eat lunch. The interior of the cafe was modern, comfortable, and quiet (on the day we dined in), clean and well appointed. Our server, Paula, spoke English and was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very helpful, which made for a wonderful experience. The food selection was varied, from spins on traditional meals (including dishes of wild boar and venison) to more modern fare (e.g., pomme frites and Hawaiian toast). I got the mushroom soup with herbs (which was very hot and delicious), shared a bowl of frites with my wife, and finished with yummy apple cinnamon tartlets and vanilla sauce. We were a party of four and tried out a bunch of things. The breakfast set options are plenty and great value for money. The creamy chicken is also a good choice!
