Rosenstädter — Restaurant in Rapperswil-Jona

Spent a lovely meal at Cafe Rosenstaedter in Rapperswil. We had only 50 minutes of free time on a tour and needed to eat lunch. The interior of the cafe was modern, comfortable, and quiet (on the day we dined in), clean and well appointed. Our server, Paula, spoke English and was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very helpful, which made for a wonderful experience. The food selection was varied, from spins on traditional meals (including dishes of wild boar and venison) to more modern fare (e.g., pomme frites and Hawaiian toast). I got the mushroom soup with herbs (which was very hot and delicious), shared a bowl of frites with my wife, and finished with yummy apple cinnamon tartlets and vanilla sauce. We had a wonderful and memorable meal at Rosenstädter. If you're here and are a vegetarian, do not miss the cheesecake. It's light as air with the caramelized savouriness of onions. Absolutely delectable!

We were a party of four and tried out a bunch of things. The breakfast set options are plenty and great value for money. The creamy chicken is also a good choice!

We were served by Paula, who was absolutely thoughtful and made sure that my meal did not have any allergens. Her service was impeccable and made the whole meal better :)

A gem of a place, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.Which we do. We like it so much we came back by train from Zurich and had the kasekuchen again!
