Cappuccino Gstaad — Restaurant in Saanen

I had high hopes for this place, yet the bad service unfortunately put it all down.

Location: Great, can't complain. Decor/ design: Nice too, appealing and inviting at a first glance for people passing by. Food & beverages: I got fresh orange juice and a cheese cake, they were good (but they are nothing hard to make though).

Service: Horrible service, the majority of the staff aren't experienced at all (I dealt with 3 different waiters).

(I always encourage and support part time workers who are trying to make a living, but if they don't like what they do or they do it badly in a way that negatively affect the reputation of the place then I believe that they should't do this job and can find another one which the are more passionate about).

A part of my order was forgotten (I was alone and only ordered Juice, water and a slice of cheesecake, so no big deal). I had to actually remind another waiter to bring me the rest of my order, which can put you off mood in a way.

Eventually, when I decided to leave and ordered the check, it took them SO LONG to bring it that at the end I had to enter inside and actually ask to pay at the cashier because they forgot about me (the inside seating area had only two tables busy or so, which means no pressure on the staff what so ever).

• I have to give some credit to one one the three waiters who served me, I didn't get her name, but she did her best to solve the problems of her other two incompetent colleagues. She also apologised for forgetting about bringing the check with no valid reason. But unfortunately a negative impression towards this place was taken along with a decision not to visit again, which is what I explicitly informed her of before I left.

I recently visited Cappuccino in Gstaad with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfying. Here's an overview of our visit:

Service and Staff: We found the service to be horrible. The staff were unfriendly and downright rude. As we were a group of 5 adults and 4 kids, the lady attending to us immediately asserted that we could not sit at one table, even though we tried to explain that we wanted two tables. We were given no time to clarify our needs.

Beverages: As for the beverages, they were just average. Nothing stood out as exceptional, particularly when considering the high prices.

Location: The pretty location of the café initially attracted me. The ambiance and surroundings were charming, but unfortunately, that's where the positive aspects ended.

Price: The price was another letdown. For the quality of food and service, we found it to be on the higher side.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Cappuccino in Gstaad. While the location might seem appealing, the overall experience was disheartening. I am a female who game to Gstaad for a break from my busy schedule as a medic in the UK. We came with family friends to enjoy these ethereal surroundings. Never have I ever in my life experienced such bad and rude customer service! My family and I were left gobsmacked due to the abysmal service provided including the lack of basic manners on how to speak with customers. The manner in which the food served was disappointing to say the least, where each customer was served similar dishes with atleast 20-30minutes of break in between each meal served to each customer on the table. As per table etiquettes, once served, my daughter waited for others to be served before starting her meal although after waiting for 20 minutes I allowed her to start her dinner as it was evident that the staff were clueless about how inappropriate it was for them to make us wait this way.
