The Boat Restaurant — Restaurant in Saanen

Disappointing service. I cannot tell whether our family were treated poorly because i am not white or because i am a breastfeeding mother. The restaurant was empty when I arrived with my crying baby. The waitress led us to our table and to help my hungry crying baby calm down, I started breastfeeding her. I could see the waitress looked at us frowning and tutting. I went over to ask for a menu and if we could use a high chair for my baby. The waitress handed a menu and pointed at the high chairs. Did not help me at all as I had to carry both my baby and the high chair and the menu to our table. As more people came into the restaurant, with babies (all white), I saw the serving staff immediately go and help them, bringing high chairs over to their tables. Needless to say it was upsetting to see how poorly we were treated in comparison. We left as soon as we could as clearly families with breastfed babies who are not white, are...

It was lack of communications when I repeatedly asked for my food and also informed because I was waiting for a train. It wasn't crowded so I was surprised that no one replied to my request. Waited for more than half an hour for pizza and a burger, ended up missing my train.

Didn't mind if they had informed me of the waiting time after several rounds of asking.

Updated after seeing the owner reply: thank you for your sarcastic tone and I'm glad to inform you that I had told your staff twice (2 different colleagues) that I have a train to catch. After seeing your reply, the food originally I rated 4 stars but now I guess I would want to vomit the food out and I'll change to 3 stars. The boat restaurant is in the Sport Center Gstaad, i think location is good because after in swimming pool, you can quick come eat. There is the sitting place outside(when good weather) you can sit outside and look your kids enjoy very big and fun play ground with mini golf.

I was there around 16.30, I have waited for the foods a bit long but it’s worths the wait.

The food is good quality and tasty. There are many choices of foods and drink. I will probably come back many times 😊 There are still many dishes I would like try next time 😉.
