I really enjoyed your gelato. However, food safety and poor hygiene practices of your employees raised my concerns. Employees are handling ready to eat food aka ice-cream/gelato cones with bare hands which are not safe practices. A lot of young customers at Pura Vida, their health is important so as the adults. Cones are stored upright, employees are sticking fingers inside of the cone in order to pick them up (no gloves or tissue used, bare hands with long chipped varnished nails, you are aware what could be under those nails). I assume safer practice would be simply having cones stacked upside down and picked with a paper napking or use gloves (latex, non-latex, biodegradable rubber ones., etc.). Washing hands before putting gloves on is important as well as changing them if torn or staff is handling other jobs than serving your product.
