Don’t miss the freshly pressed pomegranate juice—large, fair-priced, and hard to find elsewhere. Complimentary olives are a unique, nutty starter, very delicious!

Outdoor seating on Bertastrasse is relaxed; service is attentive, very friendly and efficient. The interior is basic and not “Instagrammable”—come for honest food, not the decor. I like it this way.

Vegetarian and vegan options are strong. No reservation needed at lunch, and payment by card is accepted. El Babaz is a must-try....

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Babaz haus and it was truly a memorable evening. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for the night. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

great experience!!! one of the best meals i had in switzerland. the restaurant serves cuisine from the region of kurdistan in syria. i ordered the mixed grill which came with kebab, chicken, and pilaf. everything was incredibly flavorful and seasoned to perfection. our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu + recommendations; he even served me half a glass of draft beer on the house. i dined in a party of 6 and we were unanimously impressed with both the service and dishes. highly recommend if you enjoy middle eastern cuisine and/or are looking for...
