Possibly our worst experience in a restaurant in Zurich!!! The place is wonderful, but the staff not so much especially the “Manager”. We arrived as a small group of 4 friends on a nice Sunday for lunch and ordered 3 poke bowls and a Wienerschnitzel, while eating one of my friend found in his mouth quite a big METAL STAPLE, the ones used to staple stuff to the wall!!!! Thank God he did not swallow it or the HEALTH CONSEQUENCES could have been MAJOR!!!

The very kind brunette waitress immediately apologised and offered to bring something else, but my friend did not want to risk his health again, and of course we were all worried about what else we could find in our food. She then apologised once more and told us that everything we would eat or drink would be on the house. Thankful for the offer, we decided not to bring the matter forward and decided to try to enjoy our lunch. Two minutes later the “Manager” comes to our table, at first, seemingly to apologize further and offer new food to our friend, but soon he changed tone of voice and while becoming aggressive and rude he told us that the waitress was mistaken: since the rest of the table looked like we were enjoying our food, we were expected to pay for everything except for the drinks (sparkling water and an ice tea…) and our friend’s botched food!! What an absolutely rude and unacceptable behaviour, he ruined not only our lunch but the whole mood as well!!!!! It is certainly not a matter of money, it is a matter of manner and respecting your guests after an unacceptable event and taking back one’s word made them look even worse! We probably should have reported the matter to Lebensmittelkontrolle, as hygiene is evidently very poor in their kitchen if METAL STAMPLE end up in guests’ salads or poke bowls….

One thing is for sure.. we will never go to Frisher’s Fritz again, there are other places on the lake that care about client experience and with much...

Initially we were greeted pleasantly by a waitress and given time to inspect the menu however we moved to another seat to move out of the sun and a new waiter approached us; a young man in shorts who could best be described as robotic, unemotional, assertive, unfriendly and passively aggressive. We gestured to the waitress but the new waiter made it clear that we were now in his section.

We declined drinks to his obvious annoyance. We both requested fish and to share a salad and chips. The food arrived in less than five minutes and was clearly generically prepared. Moreover, both the salad and the chips were in minuscule bowls. This was unlike every other table in the entire restaurant (50+ other tables) who were served salad and chips in appropriately sized bowls/ plates. It was clear we were being deliberately and intentionally insulted.

We ate our fish which was very nice. We finished the salad and chips quickly given the half sizing. I ditched my original plan to have dessert. We paid our nearly 90Fr bill and left.

My message to the restaurant is this: Have a think about what your waiter’s behaviour says about you. You appear to size people up by how much money you think you’re going to make out of them. If you determine early in the piece that you’re not going to make enough money out of them, you choose to utterly disrespect them. Is this your standard approach?

All of this is a real shame. The caravan park is very well equipped. The outlook over the water is fantastic (taking a dip in the lake is lovely) and the staff at the main reception are friendly and helpful. Just about everything about the caravan park is really great. It’s just our restaurant experience was so disappointing - to be so completely disrespected is just nasty. And despite technically being two different entities (restaurant and caravan park), our entire stay was tarnished by the...

I feel kind of bad of leaving a mediocre review but today I was really disappointed at lunch. I have been to Fishers Fritz multiple times and have never had this experience before. My friend and I came without a reservation and were turned away from the tables by the lake immediately by a host/man/waiter immediately saying they are all reserved. I still went ahead and asked the waitress that was responsible if thats true and said its actually free and we are more then welcome to sit. The food was great as always but when we asked for water we were told to walk behind the building something and fill it up and bring it to our table again, meanwhile 3 tables around us got their waters by the waitress. The man carrying the food actively tried to ignore us but i still managed to ask him some stuff to which he just mumbled to himself and rolled his eyes. The waitress (blonde) was either too busy (i dont know how considering only a few tables were full-so much for ‘everything is reserved) or she was in a bad mood maybe. Didn’t ask as about anything and wasn’t attentive at all. I have never had the same experience here so I was quite dissatisfied today. I am a loyal costumer but today kind of chaged my opinion. I still think it’s beautiful and your food is very good, but the staff is really bringing...

I wanted to show my boyfriend this place which I used to visit a lot back in the years. Unfortunately we couldn't made a reservation online since they were fully booked. But we went there anyway and tried to "walk-in". When we were there we had to wait a few minutes until someone came to put us on the waitlist. Meanwhile we had a drink at the bar. The place was very busy and we came after 8pm. When we finally got seated it took a while until the table got cleaned from the previous guests. It also took a while until we could order. When the food arrived my glas of wine was missing and they brought it when we started eating. They were running out of the artichoke but they didn't tell us until we asked where it was. The appetizer and the main were all served together and not separately. The food was also only warm and not hot. I remember it to be hot and also the fries were cold and not crispy. But we didn't wanted to complain since it took a very long time until our order came and we were really hungry. I hope they can improve in the future because they were way better before than now.

This is a popular place to go in summer so go early to find parking and get nice seats, if you cannot reserve (like us). We went at 6/6:30pm so no worries but it got really busy closer to 7/8m. You also have to really catch the wait staff's attention to get your order in. They speak English and with all location and amenities, it's pricey for what you get. We enjoyed what we ordered though especially the truffle fries and radlers. I don't recommend the fried maki though because it didn't taste delicious with too many greens and tomatoes. I think they should stick to salmon and rice plus seaweed and fry it. That would have been a winner. Delicious artisanal ice cream for dessert. There was a lot to see and it made for a very interesting family experience. We didn't even notice until we were leaving that the carousel was not an actual carousel but seating. How interesting. It's definitely a nice place for families with kids.

Amazing location just outside the city with views of the lake and city! It looks like a popular spot for camping and water sports next door but you wouldn't necessarily know about this restaurant unless you were driving by specifically looking for it or had it recommended by word of mouth. A dear friend took us here for dinner to enjoy the outdoor weather with amazing local fish and chips. Like anything in Zurich, it's not the cheapest. There was also an event ongoing, so service was a bit slow but staff are really friendly once they get to you. They also speak English so no problem! I'm also not sure if there's a menu as we never got one and just ordered verbally with the staff.
