If there was an option for negative rating, I would provide that.
Irrespective of the taste and quality, customer service is an expectation to everyone walking into a restaurant or a cafe and to the people catering to their customers. Apparently not for these people.
Forget a normal greeting, they act like they don’t even want you there. I asked in English about the ingredients of a pastry I wasn’t familiar with. They couldn’t explain in English, which is perfectly ok in a German speaking area. However, right after my question, they move on to other customers like I didn’t even exist. I took it in the right stride to think that they were giving me time to think. So I wait patiently for them to finish with their Swiss customers and point to exactly what I want to keep communication to a minimum. They take it out of the shelf and literally throw the pastry into a box and hand a half closed box in my hand and blurt out the high price of a pastry I didn’t even end up consuming after my deflating experience, in an otherwise great time we’ve had in Switzerland so far.
I won’t comment on the taste as I didn’t eat the thing. While I’m a foodie and love trying out new and recommended places, I give human attitude an upper hand to the food they are serving.
I should’ve paid attention to the several negative reviews before going. The fine line is the positive reviews are mostly from German speaking customers. And I’m happy for them. As for me, I won’t be coming back here and will recommend everyone I know to specially not go. Thanks...

Read moreFirst of all, the employees are really unfriendly, there is no "Hello, what would you like to have?" and absolutely no welcoming spirit.
Secondly I ordered a Coffee (about 5,50 Francs) and a Gipfeli (bakery) (3 Francs), it took about 10 min. to serve it, and then even the coffee wasn't really hot.
When leaving I said good bye, but nothing came back...
