EDIT: 7.11.2021 - Oh dear. After a long absence due to the pandemic, we went back today and it wasn't what we had looked forward to. My supposed green curry was inedible. Most unattractive colour, like a bowl of mud. Meat was super tough and tasted funky. The aubergines were as hard as rocks. I had a couple of bites and then had to give up NOT enjoyable. The Mojito was not a Mojito, weird. The papaya salad was delish but sadly I had to keep my coat on, it was absolutely freezing with zero heating.
There is always a buzz about Nooba, in summer when you can sit outside under huge umbrellas, or winter when the place is jumping. It can get loud and there are shared tables so you may be sitting closely to your neighbour, but it is fun and the food is good. Last time I was there they had updated their menu which was overdue. My go-to dish is the Salmon Teriyaki. You can them meander across the street and get a great...

The food was fine – nothing to complain about there. But the experience was totally ruined when it came time to pay.
At the entrance, there’s a blackboard saying “-10% off the menu due to construction works.” Sounds great, yeah? Well, apparently, only if you know to explicitly ask for it before the waiter prints your bill.
I went to the counter to pay and was handed a full-price bill. I politely mentioned the sign and asked for the 10% discount. The waitress just said, “Too late – the bill is already printed.”
Seriously?! What kind of logic is that? I’m supposed to guess that you don’t apply your own clearly posted discount unless I say something?
It’s not about the few francs – it’s about the attitude and principle. If you advertise a discount, honor it. Don’t blame the customer for not reading your mind.
Would I come back?...
Read moreTheir food is simply fantastic. But their delivery is poor. We’ve had multiple errors on delivery and usually it takes at least an hour to correct (on top of delivery times that rarely meet their estimate). One error, a panaeng curry container broke open during the delivery and was spilled throughout the bag when it was delivered. It was inedible and when I requested a refund, they demanded pictures as proof (which we didn’t have as we threw away the mess immediately). So no refund ever received. Tonight, a missing dish, and at least another hour before it can be delivered (on top of a delivery that was already beyond the estimated time). But at least they’ve promised a refund. Be wary if you order delivery from them. You might need a back-up plan at...
