Let me start with the ambience. Visually you have a mix of China / India / Thailand and Mexico. With weird trucks to sit in. Some loud radio station is blasting their name in the middle of tracks here an there. Volume is too loud to have nice dinner conversation and style is too shit to enjoy it.
Now the food: Tacos are dry, portions precooked, taste like 2 days old. The papaya salad is not with dried but fresh shrimp, without fish sauce and zero spicy. Has nothing to do with a papaya salad.
ShortRib is cooked completely dry. I didn’t know that was possible. The fries that came with it were good.
Beverages are just as disappointing. Mostly bottled beer. Only Stella from tap. Belgian piss in Switzerland should tell you enough.
The service in the restaurant tries but is completely unorganized.
Later at the bar was the absolute best. Over produced drinks disappear into the kitchen. The staff wonders who gets to drink the overproduction… Spilled Ice just melts on the counter, drinks get completely forgotten. The bar goes unmanned for 10 minutes because there seem to be snacks or too much overproduced drinks in the kitchen.
Every beer bar in Pattaya is managed better than this dump. Absolutely insanity for a 5* hotel. Last...
Read moreNot quite the experience I was hoping for... The start was quite good, they sat us at a table and already asked, what we would like to order as aperitiv. We've just ordered a big bottle of mineral water. Then the wait begun... After 20 minutes no waiter to take our orders, so I asked the waiter next to our table if he could take our orders, he replied "I am sorry, I am not responsible for your table, this is my colleagues responsibility". I was quite a bit surprised about that answer, so I asked if he at least could tell his colleague to come to our table and take our order, he confirmed. But after waiting again 10 more minutes and no waiter to take our order (so we didn't even have any appetizers... nothing) we paid for the water and then left. The restaurant was not fully booked. Half of the tables were empty and there seemed to be enough personnel in and outside the kitchen to manage that amount of guests easily. So to us, it was a disappointing experience. Besides the overpriced water we were not able to try out the food. The location of the restaurant is also not easy reachable if arriving by public transport, better consider going with your...
Read moreWe visited Soul Street restaurant at The Five hotel in Zürich for a diner.
It might be tricky to get there with public transport, as it is located further away from the last bus stop, but with car it is no problem. We had a really great experience and I think it's worth visiting, specially if you have a big occasion like birthday or company event.
The staff was warm, welcoming and very professional. The place itself looks very fancy, but that I guess you already figured... :)
The food tastes amazing, we tried different kitchens .
Above the restaurant there is a club, which you can access for free of charge if you are dining there...if you feel...
