Ah Xi Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Chiayi

Local turkey rice restaurant that was recommended to us by our hotel. It's a local diner by a busy road. We came on a weekend for lunch and the queue was long, winding down the road. A restaurant that i definitely will always visit whenever i come to chiayi. I love their turkey rice, and they have a very reasonable price (although still more expensive compared to other less popular ones). They always have a long queues, so expect some waiting time, although i never wait for too long. They deliver the food quickly, and i hope they add more seatings in the future,...

I absolutely adore the turkey rice here. This is truly one of the best places to get Chiayi's classic dish. I also love the many soups, such as the pork knuckle bitter melon soup, and the sweet potato leaves are just delicious. One warning, though, this place is crazy busy much of the time, so you might have to wait a bit for a table. Great food, great prices, lovely people...
